Gobble, Gobble, Happy Thanksgiving!

by Heidi Emmett

Cooking up a storm for 24 people today! Crazy but fun to be with family. Below is my new Favorite – Maple Cranberry Sauce. I found the recipe in americanprofile.com, and I also visited Kate’s website ihearteating.com

Look closely now. This is a before picture. We were anticipating a major storm with snow levels down to 1500 ft. We live at 2900ft.

I was also sewing on a Terrific Tabard vest for Beth at Fabric Chicks in Minden, Nevada. She is one of my new wholesale accounts. Gotta get the word out about Designs by Heidi. She chose the fabrics and the vest fits her as she will wear it at Quilt Shows. DSC_1720 Aboriginal fabrics are her choice for the main fabric(the large cutouts). DSC_1716 DSC_1714 Skinny vest is the other name for this pattern. You can see why with the slimming side lines.
DSC_1722 This is the other side view. Hey, What’s that white stuff in the background? DSC_1731 Keep in mind that should you attend the Artistic Alchemy Retreat in September, 2016, you could make Terrific Tabard vest in my workshop, “Art to Wear.”

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hugs, Heidi
